Israel Covenant Journey February 26 - March 7, 2010

This was an amazing trip! We want to thank all of you from Louisiana who joined us on this Covenant Prayer Journey and also all of you who prayed for us. We could not have successfully carried out all of the objectives without the prayer coverage. There were many challenges, but we overcame and had many glorious experiences. We believe we accomplished our assignment. How do you possibly recap a trip such as this! There were so many dynamics at work: having your feet on the land where Jesus walked; feeling His heart of compassion for the people; the breathtaking scenery, seeing sites that were 1000's of years old (we Americans can't relate); the tense spiritual atmosphere in the city of Jerusalem; all the sites, sounds, smells that are associated with the Middle East; seeing the faces and tears of those who were viewing Israel for the first time; the synergy that was occurring as we corporately released life and covenant to Israel. We will try to summarize a few very significant parts of the journey, but please when you have time check out the pictures on our website. They will be posted soon. (www.prayerfocusministries.com)

Divorcement of Baal:The Lord led us to declare our separation from the spirit of Baal on Mt. Carmel where Elijah dealt with the prophets of Baal. Here on top of this windy mountain with amazing scenery of the Valley of Jezreel, Tom Schlueter led us in the declaration to separate from the spirit of Baal in the United States, to tear down his structures, and to pray for our nation as well as the nation of Israel. There we took communion together to seal our decrees, to release God's destiny, and to declare life to Israel.

Baptism in the Jordan: This was one of the highlights of our trip as many who had never been baptized in the Jordan before and many who had, donned white robes and stepped into the River. The three team leaders, with some help from others, baptized those from their individual states. Everyone was anointed with a special anointing oil that Texas and Louisiana brought, the Israel banner waved, worship ascended, and each individual experienced the awesome presence of the Lord as they were immersed in the chilly waters of the Jordan. It was such a memorable experience!

At the Headwaters of the Jordan: Upon the word of an intercessor from Texas, each leader had brought water from their respective states. We went to the headwaters of the Jordan at Dan, released the Lord's judgment, and mixed the water from Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana with the water of Israel. We also released covenant blessings from our state to God's first fruit nation at this key location, including our very special Jewish guide for the "Yellow Bus", Shimon Zemer.

 

 

Deuteronomy 12:2:  "You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place." Here we are at one of the locations where Jeroboam erected the golden calf. Yes, we repented and released the Baal divorcement again!

Mount of Beatitudes: Here we are on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee and on the hillside where the multitudes would have gathered to hear Jesus teach. Here Texas exhorted us from the Scripture and led us in worship - very powerful! Louisiana had a word that Jesus wanted to release His compassion through us and wanted access through us to the people of Israel as we encountered them on the streets and in the marketplace over the next few days. Mississippi just happened to have a small red jewel shaped heart that they felt we would take with us to Jerusalem, and the Lord would show us where He wanted it buried on the land. At the site where Jesus agonized in prayer at the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mt. Of Olives, we buried the stone representing compassion and cried out for the nation of Israel.

Springs of Gideon: This is the location where Judges 7 occurred when God separated out Gideon's three hundred valiant men. Yes, we had a number of us demonstrating verse 6 - those who lapped by putting their hand to their mouth (most pretended because there were snails in the water, but Shimon said that meant the water was pure?). Then Tom, Billy Joe, and Roger prayed and commissioned our states as an army.

Synagogue in Nazareth:  We are in the Synagogue where Jesus would have stood and read Isaiah 61 - "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me  . . ." The worship was anointed and God's presence was so evident. Amazingly we kept arriving at places to release worship either after or at the same time that the Muslim call to prayer was being sounded over an area. God was using our worship to shift and change the spiritual atmosphere at all these locations! No other sound has preeminence over the sound of worship to the One and only God!

Governmental Meeting: Even though our appointment was cancelled with the Knesset member, the Lord divinely put us with who we believe was the right contact - the Deputy Director of North American Affairs, U.S. Consulates Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All of us knew as we sat at the table with this individual, that God had intervened and placed us with the right person. In fact a couple that live in Israel who had dinner with us the first night at the hotel in Jerusalem said that we had actually "stepped up". She said this was more likely to yield results versus a meeting with a Knesset member. Repeatedly we saw the Lord place us at the right place at the right time - it was amazing! The "Miry Mud Pit": Of course the trip would not have been complete without a float in the Dead Sea and a dip in the mud pit to "renew our youth." What a sight! Could this be a possible new camouflage for God's warriors?

 

The Garden Tomb:  This was our final gathering for an anointed time of worship and communion. Texas also released a powerful word over our Jewish guides, Shimon & Menache. They were visibly touched by our worship, the word, and our love for Israel.

 

 

As you can tell, the Lord met us in an amazing way on this trip. Again, thank you for your intercession - we could not have made it without the prayer covering! This was probably one of the most challenging trips we have ever been involved with - a great price to pay for great results. The logistics of getting 51 people to that many places on time, dealing with all the things that come up with a large group, and then the added spiritual dynamic because of the seriousness of our assignment. Tom Schlueter said that we walked through darkness, locked it up, and released His light in the nation of Israel. One of the Louisiana team members had a word that we were prepared, purposed, and positioned - that when this assignment was completed, it became a door for us to step back through to bless our nation.

Washington, D.C., March 15-16, 2010

On March 15-16 five of us represented Louisiana in a meeting with the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network, Apostle John Benefiel presiding. We came to Washington, D.C., at the call of the HAPN for the purpose of divorcing Baal, the strongman over our nation. We were divorcing ourselves from this principality and from all practices of idolatry and worship of him. We began with a role call with representatives from all 50 states being in attendance. After this Apostle Benefiel released a teaching concerning the District of Columbia so that our eyes and minds would be open to the issues we would be dealing with on this assignment - we are now declaring by faith that this is the District of Christ! We read and officially divorced Baal from our Capitol and nation. We also read a 'Writ of Assistance' to release the authorities (angelic assistance) to enforce the stipulations of this divorce. On March 16 teams were sent out from all fifty states to 32 sites in Washington, D.C. (the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Supreme Court, the White House, the IRS, the Treasury Dept., the FBI, etc) with the instructions to read the divorce document and also to release a 'Writ of Assistance" to enforce this decree and plunder the house of the enemy. God has repeatedly shown us evidence and viable results linked with these strategic assignments across the nation. God is moving in spite of what we see happening in the natural. Hours before the turmoil concerning the health care vote on Sunday, the Congressional Prayer Caucus gathered in Statuary Hall under the Capitol dome to pray for God's guidance. Supposedly this was the first time in 130 years that members had held a church service on the site. Don't lose hope and keep praying!

Another portion of this meeting was that on the night of March 15 we met in the 'basement' room of the hotel. Directly above us in another conference room was the national gathering of Planned Parenthood. Coincidence? James Nesbit gathered the women together and explained that over 50 million (aborted) babies were gathered around the throne of God releasing worship to the Father, crying for mercy for their mommies and daddies who had aborted them. He asked the men to surround the women because had the fathers stood by the mothers and the dads stood by their daughters, there would have not been so many abortions. He then asked us to release a sound in the earth, the sound of the 50 million. As we began to sing in the spirit, we felt the presence of the Holy Spirit released in a powerful way. We knew we were connecting heaven with earth, the sound and the spirit going right up through the gathering of Planned Parenthood. We are believing that a harvest will come from this. Can we say the Lord knows how to orchestrate events!

Thank God for multiplied grace and faithful intercessors. We are grateful for the LAPN and others who stood with us for the success of both of these assignments - Israel and Washington, D.C.

You are a commissioned army equipped in Jesus for every battle ahead!
