Dear Friends:

Roger and Charlotte MerschbrockWe intended to write this update earlier in the week but instead spent two days at the hospital as Roger went through tests due to some symptoms he was having of extreme tightness and heaviness in his chest. Thankfully he was released yesterday with a good report on his heart but also in need of healing for a hiatal hernia, which was the culprit behind these seeming cardiac symptoms. He said it was a wakeup call and a strong reminder of the importance of taking better care of himself. We thank God for watching over him and keeping him and us in the midst of this ordeal. Now by way of ICU and a historic Natchitoches snowstorm (5.5 inches - we made the National Weather Channel), we head for Arkansas tomorrow to minister on covenant.

New Orleans—God Wants Access!

New Orleans - Fleur de LisI'm sure by now you're overrun with spiritual insight concerning last weekend's football victory, but please indulge us by allowing us to add a few more items to the developing prophetic picture concerning the Saints and New Orleans. Prior to Super Bowl Weekend, we received an interesting report from one of the prayer teams that have been praying all along the Louisiana coast from Lake Charles to New Orleans over the past few months. They thought their primary assignment in New Orleans would be to pray along the parade routes for Mardi Gras. However, when they arrived in the City and began to seek the Lord, their direction was totally changed. He told them to go to Bourbon St. because "He wanted access." (Don't you love it!) He wanted them to go into the businesses and pray and release blessings over the people. This was a different approach to "strategic prayer", but the team was amazed at how the Lord's presence was manifested. Are we in a "mercy season" or what!! God is about to reap an unbelievable harvest in the earth, and He's trying to get us on the same page He's on! Then he sent them to pray at the Super Dome, claiming this mountain of entertainment for the King of Glory.

We're not discouraging you from praying over Mardi Gras parade routes if that's what the Father instructs you to do, but it's obvious that we are in a different season. We would love for you to take the time to read an article written by Mildred Bean of Mississippi in which she shares a testimony and an excellent view on the Saint's win and the City of New Orleans. You can read that article by clicking here. Today as we were reading the Life Word by Michael Green, we saw a word from Mark Chironna: "This is a win for the Real Saints in New Orleans, your city is earmarked for a visitation from Heaven, things are about to break wide open!"

5770 - It's the Year to See!

5770 - It's the Year to SeeSo in light of all of this we do sense that God is opening our eyes to see in a whole new way - "Look Again!" We have been seeing things over the past few weeks that we are not accustomed to seeing. For example: miracle after miracle in Haiti; the Federal government closed down in Washington, D.C. for four days due to snowfall; no homicides in D.C. for the past 10 days; unprecedented snowfalls in other places including the South (that's us). K-LOVE Christian Radio just announced that for the first time in known history there is snow on the ground in all 50 states including Hawaii (on the volcano peaks)! This brings to mind Isaiah 55:10-11: "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." Here's another one from Psalm 148:8: "Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word."  Wow! His Word is at work in our nation - stand fast and allow His Word to have preeminence, supremacy, and dominion!

Mississippi Calling

Mississippi Calling BannerWe want to share an amazing report with you from James Nesbit of Prepare the Way Ministries and Billy Joe & Ruthie Young, Apostolic Coordinators for Mississippi. We joined them a couple of weeks ago on the final leg of a historic prayer journey throughout their state entitled "Mississippi Calling", releasing the "Sound of the Fathers". Mississippi and Louisiana, both strategically placed at the mouth of the Mississippi River Valley, which runs through the heart of the nation, have been given joint responsibility to steward the Governmental Sound of the Father throughout the nations of the earth. To read the report click here.

Prayer for Israel Team

Covenant Prayer JourneyFinally, all of us who are commissioned for the upcoming trip to Israel February 26th - March 7th definitely covet your prayers for this strategic "Covenant Prayer Journey". We have 19 people who have signed up with Louisiana to make this trip. Altogether Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana will have 51 persons representing our three states in Israel. Since one of the redemptive purposes of Louisiana is to release covenant to the nation and the nations, we are grateful for this opportunity to strengthen our relationship with God's covenant people, Israel. We have compiled a prayer guide that gives some specific directives for praying. Click here to view the guide. Many of us have faced challenges in preparation for this trip, but we declare that these "giants" are "bread for us." (Num. 14:9) We will return with a glorious report of advances for the Kingdom. Thank you for standing with us!

Be Abundantly Blessed in all God is Doing!
