Mississippi Mercy

Mississippi Mercy LogoWhat an amazing "push" up the Mississippi River from the mouth to the headwaters, as James Nesbit and teams of worshipping warriors released God's mercy in our nation through intercession and the joining of their worship with the sound of the "50 million babies around the throne". We truly believe that this has touched the heart of the Father and will be instrumental in breaking the culture of death and releasing LIFE in our nation. If you've not read the reports you can access them at the following site: http://www.thelifechurch.net/attachments.htm

We want to thank the churches, leaders, and intercessors that helped facilitate the initiation of Mississippi Mercy in New Orleans and Baton Rouge on May 11 and 12 and also all who joined in prayer and worship across our state through May 22. There were about 150 who assembled on the Spanish Plaza at the initial gathering in New Orleans. We had a report from two intercessors that assembled again on the final evening at the initiation site while James and the team were praying in International Falls, Montana. Their report said that as they prayed and worshipped, they saw a tanker pass in front of them on the River with big bold lettering that said, "NEW ARISING." They decreed that the Lord was ARISING in a fresh and new way in the heart of our nation! Pocahontas Mound Initiative

Pocahontas Mound - Friday, May 29thOn Friday, May 29th, we joined Ruthie & Billy Joe Young, Mississippi Apostolic Coordinators, and other leaders and intercessors at Higher Dimensions Church with Pastors Thomas & Rose Jenkins in Jackson to pray, worship, and strategize for a prayer initiative at Pocahontas Mound south of Flora, Mississippi.

This mound is a Native American ceremonial temple or residence of a chief that was built during the Mississippian period between 1000 and 1300 AD. Through research and previous prayer journeys, the Young's and other leaders discerned that this site was a key place of strong occult power, which was influencing not only that area but also the Mississippi River Valley. It is on a ley line beginning in Thunder Bay, Canada, running through the Cahokia Mound in Missouri, through Flora, Mississippi, and also through New Orleans. A Native American apostle explained that this ley line has a sphere of influence approximately 50 miles east and west of the line, which includes the Mississippi River. Our assignment was to impinge—to interrupt and cut off the occult power that has been flowing up and down this ley line and decrease the influence, particularly that involving the Mississippi River. To read a complete report on this initiative click here. To view the photo gallery click here.

We are aware of several evangelistic efforts this summer along the Mississippi River such as Franklin Graham and Rock the River; Dutch Sheets, Robert Henderson, Regina Shank and D-Day in Normandy, MO; End Time Handmaidens this summer in St. Louis; and others. We believe that what we did on May 29th will help prepare the way for harvest. All of these prayer assignments are purposed to shift the HEART of our nation from death to LIFE.

D-Day, Normandy, Missouri Decision Day for the Heartland & for America is upon us!

On June 4-6, Missouri and the surrounding states will gather on the 65th anniversary of the invasion of Normandy Beach, France. The "show me your glory state", Missouri, is calling the Allied forces of the Kingdom to come together in St. Louis (Normandy is a suburb), Missouri on this 65th anniversary of D-Day with the mandate to invade the enemy's territory to free a suffering humanity from the tyranny of death, (Abortion has killed an estimated 50 million babies in America.) from the tyranny of humanism and cultural Christianity (Mankind is not the center of the universe, God is!), and the tyranny of anti-Christ agendas. Our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers that are bent on our destruction and the destruction of our children and grandchildren.

Missouri Prayer MissionThe Lord has spoken to us that we need to have a representation from Louisiana at this meeting so both of us are planning to be there. Some of you may recall that the 101st Airborne Division, the Screaming Eagles, were activated at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana in 1942. The Pathfinders of the 101st Airborne Division led the way on D-Day in the night drop prior to the invasion. In 2006 we had a major gathering of the "spiritual Screaming Eagles" near Camp Claiborne in response to a call to prayer for the nation by Dutch Sheets. Regina Shanks, Dutch Sheets, Robert Henderson, and the Missouri Apostolic Council will be hosting this gathering. Prayer for Government

Prayer of AgreementHere is an excerpt from a communication we received this morning from Todd Trahan of Intercessors for Louisiana:
I am writing to you this morning asking for you to mobilize your teams of intercessors for the next 2 days in particular. At the State Capitol, in the next 2 days bills that are significant in the fight for family and Godly values will come to their conclusion, good or bad. Please pray for the courageous leaders in our government to be strong in the last push. Pray for our leaders to vote for righteousness so that Louisiana can be a praise to God in this season of history…Let’s agree that Father God will send Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of men and women and awaken them to the importance of standing where God stands…Pray for the “Light and Life” of the Spirit to manifest in the Capitol and drive out the darkness. As you pray would you please lift up Gene Mills and all the staff at Louisiana Family Forum. They are on the front lines right now.

Also please pray that Louisiana will continue to take a strong stand both in our state and nation in support of Israel. Pray for the Congressional Delegation from our state to recognize how important it is that Louisiana remains a state that supports the covenant root!

Facebook?

FacebookYes, we are senior citizens and we're doing Facebook!  But so are a number of the other state coordinators including Tom Schlueter from Texas who has found it to be a very useful tool for communicating and connecting the prayer network in their state. They frequently post prayer needs and events through the Texas Apostolic Prayer Network group on Facebook. So if you're already on Facebook, consider joining our group, The Louisiana Apostolic Prayer Network. If you're not, consider joining Facebook. If you don't know how to set it up, ask your children or grandchildren for help. Trust us they'll know how to do it, ours did! This will not replace our LAPN Updates, but we are giving it a trial run to see how effective it is for communication and if it might be a tool to connect more prayer warriors in Louisiana.

*****************
Lately Joe Askins, apostolic coordinator for New York, has been posting some powerful quotes from our founding fathers on Facebook. Here's one of them:

Jedediah Morse: "To the kindly influence of Christianity we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoys. . . . Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of government, and all blessings which flow from them, must fall with them."

Standing with you to see our nation's pillars re-established!

Blessings,

Roger and Charlotte
